30? I'm holding out for $50!
;-)

Volume was ~150k each day on the drop, 31 Oct and 1 Nov. I guess it really could be buybacks which is driving up the price. There are a LOT of people who own(ed?) this stock at $9-10. There seems to be general agreement that 1997 will be a banner year so people want to keep a position, but a 60% write-off is quite appealing. You'd want do the swap in Nov since small stocks "generally" have a Christmas and New Year rally; although, NTN didn't participate last time.

Not to bring up some bad PR, but does anyone undertstand the settlement of shareholder lawsuit? I've read the 8-K twice and it still baffles me. What it looks like is that each class member (those who purchased the stock between 27-Jan-1993 and 24-Jun-1993) will receive some rights to buy additional shares. $3.25 is somehow attached to the rights, but it isn't the puchase price or their market value. Any clues?

I don't expect the settlement to affect earnings since it appears that most of the money has already been written off.
