Maybe I'm over-reacting and took your post too personally, but felt it was directed at me. So I thought I'd share what I've done over past couple of days to clear the air. Guess I am getting paranoid cause lately no matter what I say or do I seem to get criticized these days privately or publicly.
In additiion to my current core position (15,000 shares) ...
On July 6, I bought:
5,000 @ 9 1/4
5,000 @ 9 1/8
5,000 @ 8 15/16
1,000 @ 8 5/8
On July 7, I bought:
1,000 @ 8 1/16
3,000 @ 8 3/16
Now if I were REALLY smart and were trying to hype, manipulate or knew something ... wouldn't I have bought a LOT more way below 9??? I didn't and don't know more than anyone else. Just had a gut feeling on trading patterns. I told myself weeks ago, that if it dropped back in the 9 1/4 range, I'd start buying again.
Bought more this AM when I saw the thing about Russell 3000. (I forgot about that until I read the Yahoo board this AM.) Didn't want to risk more cause I lost a lot of paper profit around earnings last time, so I'm only in a cash position on TAVA and didn't want to use margin.
I only bought 3,000 shares for mom & dad in 1,000 increments over past 2 days @ 9 1/8, 8 7/8 and 8 3/16. Sold 1,000 @10 cause they're on fixed income and I don't want to speculate or take chances on their money.
I was flabbergasted when there was this run-up today. I didn't know what was going on until I saw the post about Polaroid and the pharmaceutical company.
If anyone's REALLY interested in why and when I've bought or sold TAVA (cause I don't like to trade TAVA - have done it rarely). When I do trade, I never daytrade. When I do trade, I usually do it in increments of 3,000-5,000.
Except for that CNBC deal which I forewarned people about BEFORE I sold any of my position. How dumb was that?? I post and tell people not to buy, particularly on margin. Then the NEXT day I start selling my position ... after I warned people NOT to buy??? Sounds real dumb to me if I was REALLY hyping and was trying to benefit personally.
The last two times I did, what for me were substantial trades ... was partially because of TokyoMex. Not because of anything he's ever told me, cause he and I have NO contact. Haven't talked to or seen each other since last fall in NYC. I don't follow his thread. I don't belong to his paid web site, nor have I even attempted to visit it.
What I've basically did on two separate occasions was the OPPOSITE of what TokyoMex told others to do or to watch out for. One time he came into the clubhouse, after not being there for ages, and encouraged people to buy cause it was really gonna move. I though. Oh ... I better sell. And did.
The second time was today when a couple of people emailed me and asked me about Joe's "warning" re TAVA. I responded that I didn't know what they were talking about, could they send me what was being said, blah blah. No one would send me anything specific cause they didn't want to betray a confidence. Never knew what they were talking about. I had bought my first 1,000 shares earlier in the day before I got these messages. I almost didn't buy those last 3,000 shares cause I thought ... gee maybe he does know something. But, I had always told myself if TAVA dropped below 9, I wanted to buy some more. So, I did.
Now you know my secret. [OH DEAR!! After I made this initial post ... just saw Joe's post on HIS thread: "TAVA will have 4 news next 2 weeks,, contracts with client names,, not just pilot projects but the deal." -- I'm not gonna tell anyone what I'm going to do based on this post. Maybe I'll do what I've done recently, maybe I won't.]
I'm not gonna do anymore posting on TAVA for a while, cause I feel whatever I do or say gets interpreted in some way that I'm hyping. It's just not worth the aggravation. I can deal with that with the shorts. But when I feel that I'm being accused by others who I have liked and respected for a long time ... it's time for me to stop.
I don't want people to rely and/or depend on me for investment advice.

P.S. I haven't sold anything I've bought. I debated late in the day. Decided I'd wait to see if TAVA makes the final cut on Russell 3000. I'll sell some and hold some. Went to Dave & Buster's instead of pondering further. |
