iPass Inc., the leading provider of Internet roaming and corporate remote access services, continues its strong expansion in the Asia Pacific region with the addition of 15 new ISP partners, bringing its total regional partners up to 50 active ISPs. New partners include NTT DATA, Japan's largest systems integration company.
The new access agreements expand the total iPass network to 2,715 active points of presence (POPs) in more than 150 countries -- ensuring iPass users the most reliable and cost-effective Internet service through local access numbers all around the world. Through the iPass network, enterprises and individual Internet users can easily and securely gain "access anywhere" with a local phone call when telecommuting or traveling.

Last week NTT DATA, through Mediabank's DREAM-NET (Japan), launched the iPass Internet roaming service to its customers. Other Internet service providers and telecommunications operators in Asia Pacific who have recently launched the iPass roaming service to their customers include Telecom New Zealand/XTRA, CLEAR Communications (New Zealand), OzEmail Access 1 (Australia), Internet Access Australia, Planet Internet (Australia), Global Online Services (Bangladesh), GlobalNet (Hong Kong), LGA International (Singapore) and Dynatel Communications (Sri Lanka). Internet service providers that are preparing to launch the iPass roaming service to their customers include KDD/KCOM (Japan), ATSON/AsahiNet (Japan) and NEC BIGLOBE Taiwan. iPass is also fully committed to expanding its global access network and continues to add additional POPs in major business markets. iPass' new relationship with NTT-PC and its recently broadened relationship with NEC Corporation bring remote access users additional access coverage throughout Japan with 284 access points. Other new iPass partners who are now providing access points to the iPass network include NowCom (Korea) and Karsing Online (China).
