Regarding GMH:

A story washed over Wall Street in the last part of the day regarding another anomaly, such as was experienced in Galaxy IV and Galaxy VII, had occurred in DBS-1, a DirecTV bird of Hughes. This led to SPECULATION that this problem might curse the HS 601 family of satellites(see list at hughespace.com. There are over 30 of those orbiting, including the Solidaridad 1&2 and Morelos II sats of Loral. Orion III and SatMex5 are also of this type, but thankfully stil on earth. Speculation is all it takes on Wall Street and down went Hughes. Oddly, PanAmSat, who would have the most pain if this is true, was up. There should be more news in the AM.
