Oh, did you miss the link I gave to you via PM, or did you want to have this conversation by way of two threads?

I still stand by the point you either didn't read or decided not to respond to. If food ever gets that short in supply, I can't see home gardening in whatever form having much affect. But if God told you to do that, then who am I to belabor the point. He certainly can see the error in my thinking.

Let me qualify the term "home gardening". I'm talking about people who for the most part live on a plot of ground that is about as big as one can put a house on and throw a rock 50 feet from any side of it and hit the house next door or the street. S.J. and I have 6+ acres at our disposal so we could probably do it, but I don't think that fits the definition of most of the population of the United States.

Does somewhat remind me of a story I heard about a mother and two children who survived the bombing in England during WWII on two tablespoon (or maybe it was teaspoons) of strawberry jam a day for a year.

I'm sorry. I am being a bit condescending. I just don't want to spoil what you've intended this thread to be (I think). And I do see a danger in what I made comment on because of personal experience. Never thought the world would see the year 1988.

With all due respect,

Mike
