Chris, Very nice post! I highly agree with these two statements you made ... "5) news driven stock? (i tend to avoid those) 6) small cap vs large cap." I tend to play smaller cap stocks and I am a bit more nervous when I think about their price moves compared to the likes of a dell or a GE. Also trusting your T.A., like you said, plays a major role in if you place stops. Also, if you can watch the market during the day as long as you have the 'guts' to pull the trigger when you need to ... why not just use a mental stop. Like you said sometimes we just get those intra-day moves that don't amount to much at the end of the day (maybe it's the day traders just looking for a quick buck). Sean Sanders
