Appears now to be little question that the internet bubble has burst. The panic has gone beyond profit-taking. Shorts murdered on the upside, now public longs will be murdered by margin calls on the downside. Semis, other techs, and the market in general may benefit for the moment as internet profits flee to safety, but IMO the collapse of the internet speculation finally signals the top for the market. (Of course, OTOH, YHOO's earnings release today could be so wonderful that the crazies could be extended for a few more months)
