Wow Dave, thanks for defending me. But, I don't think Gary was flaming me. (If he were going to flame me, he would have done it on the phone or in PM, and not on a public forum.)

I don't think it is learning from hindsight that he has an objection to. Heck, we are talking about a man who has made a living writing about his life experiences, which would prove that he learns from his own hindsight. Rather, it is the "nonsensical/irrational speculation", as you put it, that he was referring to. The "witch hunt" for someone (ANYone) to blame, rather than those who were actually at fault, is what he is talking about. People have tried to blame each other, themselves, Gary, Pierce, Tate, Spriggs, Midland as a company, etc., when it is pretty clear who boinked us here.

His comments to me were correct; it took a team effort on all ends, and no one person could have done a single thing to prevent it. There is no way Fisher could have acted alone, and there is no way one person could have busted him alone.

Again, I really appreciate the defense, and I agree wholeheartedly that if you don't learn from hindsight, there is really no value in experience. However, there is a very fine line between learning from the past and dwelling on it. Now that we have learned, it's time to move on.

:-)
