roger, i do not believe in hit counts, and maybe i am wrong, as an owner of web real estate, my site does not save "hits" for marketing or other purposes, we are concerned with conducting business, not tallying how many stumble or get lured to our site without making purchases. I am proud to say, that after only 6 months, i have found people capable of building a business with me, right here on SI. I am not graphically inclined, and i could not cut and paste 265 days ago, but i stopped reading sec documents and started reading html books. I find that the web can make business a heck of a lot easier. emailing even back and forth a few times, combined with fax confirmations, keeps everything on the up and up. I cannot wait to see what happens when i am able to set the programs and database to do much of this stuff automatically. In this sense, I can take my area of knowledge. (the taxi business) combined with corporate car service, with easy reservation system, and defined prices, and bring the corporate transportation business out of the dark ages and into Y2k. The same way that the costs of trading stock have come down, expect to see the rates of transportation come down 20-30%, while the service is greatly improved. Like the stocks "cross trading" reservations eventually will be one in, one out. So the cost become less. And the customers get a private ride. I don't see this happening for a while, 1 or two years. The amzn concept is great, and they are selling books. I read two a week, but have not bought from amzn. I live too close to too many bookstores.
