C'mon you mean to tell me there's never been volatilty in Ascends shares? I've done time in Ascendland for a spell about a year or so ago. It had it's share of stomach grinding days. Just nit-pickin' here, but.....

On Pacbell, Ascend & Robotics.....

As you probably know, I use pacbell as my ISP. I just switched over to them awhile ago and I had also just bought a new Box at about the same time.
Well.....I had a tech problem (mostly just readjusting to everything being NEW.)

The Pacbell tech guy told me to take my computer back to the store and rip out the "glue-n-go ROK chipped modem and get a real one-like a U.S. Robotics" if I wanted to end any more problems.
I had not prompted him in any way. He offered it up all by himself.
Thought you might get a kick outta that.

On Ascend vs. USRX.......

As far as all this USRX vs Ascend posturing goes, it's fun playing "my stock can beat up your stock", BUT I'm sure that there is more than enough pie for all to share. The Internet has not even begun yet. We're still in the B & W stage of the game to use TV as an analogy.

Those of us who use it everyday are in a vacuum. When I go out into the "REAL" world and mention that I was roaming around online, I'm amazed at the attention it elicits. Lots of OOOhs and Ahhhs. It always catches me offguard. I just ASSume that EVERYBODY is using the web like we do, when it's actually still quite a small group.

When it REALLY takes off, Everybody gets a piece (maybe even ZOOM<G>)
It should be VERY interesting to see what will happen when the "100th monkey" starts washing their sweet potatoes online. It's going to FORCE alot of changes.

Already the phone companys are whining about "traffic jams".
Lots of room for clever companys to profit from the "NEED FOR SPEED"(insert echo chamber effect here<G>)

Well I see I'm rambling. How unlike me ; )

Talk to ya later
