Don't let your emotions take over, please....I know it hurts loosing but blaming it on the referree is BS!!!

Good Morning George,

Let the man be... he is really disappointed and soon it will pass, he will be o.k.

I believe that the Dutch have earned the dubious title of the Argentineans of Europe..... he, he, he.

Argentina was so close for many years, I believe it is called....
"Ya merito" (or meaning "almost [ever] there"), until they finally won the cup twice, perhaps it will be the same with the Dutch.

As for the referee, I am not sure I agree with you 100 %, while I did like the fact that he did not buy some of the "dives", I do believe there were quite a few, real hits that he allowed and "played on".

I repeat that we were lucky that it the game did not turn into a nasty kicking contest, but enough said...

As for today, I believe the French will turn on the dial a notch or two and will win, which will leave us with, hopefully, a great final game. If the above proves true, then on Saturday the Dutch will beat the Croatians, unless the entire team is so disheartened that they may play as if "they have to", in which case the Croats, the ever eager beavers may slap the Dutch another defeat, I hope not as I believe they deserve the third place, but it will be up to them.

For the final, I hope the French (assuming they win today), will have to really apply themselves and take advantage of the home turf, if not, Brazill will take the Cup again.

Z.

***** EDIT *****

I saw your other post, given that SI is acting up again taking forever to post/read pages etc. I will just respond here:

In general I agree with most of the comments you made on post # 944, except that France will really have to play incredibly well for them to beat Brazil.

Brazil has done "what it has been necessary to do the job" risky strategy at best, but so far effective, the Norway fiasco was partly the result of such risk, albeit referee aided and the fact that Brazil had qualified already.

And the other comment would be that I would have like to see the game of Holland - Brazil as the final match..... unless the French have something up their sleeve, we have not seen yet...

Taffarel the hero.... yes he has done it before, and guessing or not, he was doing far better than his Dutch counterpart.

Brazil - Argentina, yes the best game so far, pity about the second half though as if the England team stayed complete, the game would have been even better yet....
