With Bell Canada ready to market $14.95 per month monitoring do you really think the value of monitoring is going to be the same in the future?

As well Counterforce have got to the point they are at now with the work of all the dealers over the past 10 years. What do you think the dealers would feel about Counterforce selling to someone else?

I have been assured that this would not take place and I think it would not be very practical to sell any time soon.

As a security company have you not been noticing what is going on right now. There are now a few stations that want to slow down this process of buying small companies. They are offering monitoring now for dealers at $3.00 per month.

I guess the idea is they want us to be able to compete in the future with the big companies by putting money back in our pockets. Lets face it this will change things as we need to be able to compete with $14.95 per month monitoring.

You must be doing something right yourself to still be around after 20 years of service. Sounds like you did security before the digital dialler eh?

I wish you the best and I would like to compare notes somewhere other than this thread. Networking has become very important and we have to stick together.

I agree that Counterforce when they started where the best without a doubt. VSN (Bell Canada) copied the contracts and monitoring agreements from Counterforce and said they where going to be working the same as Counterforce.

Bell copied the entire program by the letter. Bell wanted the best set up and copied the best program. I was impressed with this as it made me feel I was doing the proper thing.

Things have changed now however and we will see who will last in this new crazy marketplace. Two of the monitoring stations I talked to stated the low monitoring was for one reason and one reason only.

Show the smaller companies that the real value of our clients is in keeping the client not selling them off to the highest bidder.

If they are successful we as smaller companies will not be selling the clients we have. We will be assured a future through higher revenues through the monitoring.

As well we can knock on the doors of the larger companies that have installed free alarms and nickel and dime them to death. It must be $24.95 for them to make money.

This will stop the free alarm or slow it down. Some of the larger companies protect themselves now using equipment we can not change over. This was from the Bell threat I feel.
