Jesus,

Thank you for your comments. Quite seriously maybe I am confusing hiearchy with ego.

I truly believe we are in the midst of a paradigm shift (yes, yes I did my MBA at an ivy league too) in the structure of corporations. Obviously this was signalled years ago with restructuring with a more flattened corporate structure. Interesting however that no matter what you read about this shift is that no where have I seen the related phenomenon of knowledge resources going to small companies and now competing head on with the giants (of course Microsoft just buys you out then)

ANYWAYS MY POINT RE: Oracle is :
What you will find by analyzing an Oracle and even Microsoft (I like them both actually) is that as the world becomes more and more knowledge-base; people with technical knowledge and confidence will not put up with the ego bullshit - that manifests itself as hiearchy - if they are good enough. The IMPLICATION is what you should know already is that the majority of corporate middle players (the bulk of employees) are'average peolple who are protective shields on who either :

1. don't have the confidence to go it alone

2. are protecting a nice income with responsibilities of home and
family

3. just don't have the interpersonal or skill tools

Comments?

Kind Regards,

Mark
