Stephen,

Was DATACARD the competition for CSI in the big Best Western contract that CSI has?

Yes. CSI was chosen over Datacard primarily because CSI and the GT100 terminal can run a customer loyalty program, CSI's Ernex system, a capability Datacard did not have. The new alliance with Datacard should provide a dramatic increase in revenue for both companies as Datacard is now able to sell the Ernex loyalty program along with it's transaction terminals to it's new and existing customers and, as I'm sure you know, a fee is charged for each transaction processed.

How many hotels/motels have now been equiped with CSI terminals?

150 Best Western locations have been equipped with the GT100 transaction terminal to date. The rate of the rollout has been set by BW and is proceeding according to their schedule.

BW is now starting a pilot program with the Ernex loyalty program in selected locations. It is expected that as their comfort level with the system grows, the GT100 terminal and the Ernex system will be expanded into the other 2,000 locations not initially contracted for. Estimated transaction fee revenues from Ernex in Best Western's hotels are $200/month/terminal.

CSI's own revenue projections for fiscal 1999 are $4,000,000 and a break even. What's very interesting is what's not included in this revenue projection. Management is very conservative and has not factored in revenue from an Ernex system in BW Hotels nor any revenue from the Datacard alliance. As the high margin revenues from these two areas alone become a reality, there will no doubt be a most favourable impact on the bottom line.

Now that CSI finally has someone doing IR again I think we can expect the market to begin taking notice of the potential of this company.

Kevin
