Hello Glad to see someone else is following this stock, looks like a good prospect. Have tried several several time to get through to Mr. Tait but no luck. The following says pretty much. VALDEZ AND ORCANA SIT ON NEWMONT/PENOLES NEW GOLD MINE. I just received from John Tait at ORCANA--416-364-2015 a copy by fax of their 38 square miles of claims at ALTAR,SONORA,MEXICO near the 2,000,000 oz. NEWMONT new gold mine. May I suggest you get a copy , quickly , for surrounding Newmont Gold Mine , in HORSESHOE fashion , almost encompassing 75% of the new mine , is Orcana. Valdez abounds Orcana and we all know that Valdez has recently tripled to $1.10 and even as late as today the PENNY STOCK GURU in his E-MAIL flash is referring to a short term target of $3.00 to $4.00 , which would be another triple. If Valdez is worth so much how much undervalued is ORCANA at $0.20 per share and only 16,000,000 shares with not only the Altar property but a COMMERCIAL copper and molybdenum discovery at CRESTON , MEXICO which is currently the subject of an intense joint venture partner to estalish a new mine. Orcana is preparing plans to further explore its Altar property early in 1997 but not be surprised if Newmont doesn't make an offer to buy to add to its mineable gold reserves and to keep the property out of the hands of VALDEZ and others in the area. Orcana may be receptive as they need money to explore the property and a joint venture buy-in would do the trick. Orcana has done absolutely nothing to promote its good fortune position surrouding the new gold mine and in fact newmont has drilled successful gold targets 100 feet fron Orcana's border. Rick
