There are no diamonds in the NWT. The problems in SA have forced Debeers employees to flee the country. they cover themselves with shoe polish and mine frantically in Angola. Then they smuggle the diamonds out into Canada hiding them in the digestive tracts of endangered species. After digging a big pit somewhere in the NT they then heave the stones into the pit at the passing truck drivers who are specially trained to catch them without taking their hands off the wheel. The rest is easy.

If you think that story is far fetched, let me tell you another one. (reaches for his Bible and places right hand on it) I was in Thunder Bay, ON. back in 1986 one afternoon in the industrial section and walked into a largish warehouse and inquired of a guy standing outside a garage door which company resided there. "De Beers" he replied. Inside were twenty women seated on stools and panning with large 18 inch goldpans in washtubs. "What" I asked, "are they doing?" He replied: "Panning for diamonds and indicator minerals collected north of here". The girls were all about 20 to 24 years old and were rather attractive and wore light coloured clothing and short shorts. There were all blondes. Every one. <---- Mother's Grave, true story
