If tdfx's weak price is a reflection of its being a semiconductor company, than I'm afraid AMD's earnings ( out this afternoon) won't help things: their loss was double what was expected.
In contrast, cnbc has been talking up the chip stocks a bit, saying demand should pick up in the second half of the year and that there are a lot of attractive players that are clearly undervalued.
In other words, the usual "on one hand--on the other hand" sort of stuff. Personally, I think amd's big loss will hurt us tomorrow.
