Is Mohammad the Comforter promised by Jesus in John 14:16? Is Mohammad the Spirit of truth promised in John 14:17? Is Mohammad the messianic prophet promised in Deuteronomy 18:15,18
Moslem apologist Raymond Norris teach that Mohammad is indeed the Comforter and the Spirit of truth promised by Jesus! Moslem apologist Raymond Norris also teach that Moahmmad is the messianic prophet promised in Deuteronomy 18:15,18.
Raymond Norris also combines the two prophecies and tells us that Mohammad is that prophet prophesied by Moses who came in the form of the Comforter and Spirit of truth. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let us firtst examine Islam's and Norris's claim that Mohammad is the Comforter and the Spirit of truth.
Mr. Norris first quotes from John: John 16:12-14 "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew [it] unto you."
This is interesting. In John 16, Jesus (Pbuh) speaks of the "comforter" who "shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak." In Deuteronomy the same promise is made by God".
Then Mr. Norris says: This is intriguing.............Let's compare with a verse from the Qur'an: He then quotes the Qu'ran to show that the prophetic words from the Bible were fulfilled through Mohammad and not the Holy Spirit and Jesus.
"Nor does he (Muhammad) speak of his own desire. It is but an Inspiration that is inspired [unto him]" The noble Qur'an 53:3-4
All Muslims believe that Muhammad (Pbuh) only spoke what God told him. Muhammad (Pbuh) instructed during his lifetime that the people not write down what he said unless he told them that it was revelation because he didn't want his words being mixed up with God's words.
As I have stated before, Muhammad's (Pbuh) narration is no where to be found in the Qur'an. He was illiterate (Isaiah 29:11-18).
So now for the logical reader, all the points come together. It begins to make clear sense. .............................. This is a prophecy without ambiguity. There is no need for interpretation when the meaning is explicit. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Again, these are the verses in John 14 that Mohammad is allegedgly fulfilling according to Raymond Norris:: 16: And I will pray the Father, nd he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17: Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 18: I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
According to Norris, Mohammad is the Comforter and the Spirit of truth. ----------------------------------------------------- Let us look at the Word of God and see who is this Comforter and Spirit of truth that Jesus is talking about.
John 14 16: And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17: Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 18: I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 19: Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 20: At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. 21: He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 22: Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23: Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him..... 25: These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 26: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 27: Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
BUT THE COMFORTER, WHICH IS THE HOLY GHOST, WHOM THE FATHER WILL SEND IN MY NAME, HE SHALL TEACH YOU ALL THINGS.
Jesus tells us that the Comforter is in fact the Holy Spirit and he will teach Christians all truths. ------------------------------------------
Mohammad is neither the Comforter nor the Spirit of truth, but a demon possessed spiritualist who deceived millions into believing his lies.
Almost six hundred years after Jesus had sent the Coimforter, the Spirit of truth upon and in the Church, Satan raised his false prophet Mohammad to deceive the world with the Qu'ran.
Spiritual Christians see Raymond Norris and Mohammad as absurd and pathetic deceivers without credibility but those who are not established in Christ, Holy Scrptures and the Christian Church have no standard to measure these demonic doctrines. |
