Look,

You are making a RATIONAL argument in an IRRATIONAL business.

If you and I had blown a $100M bucks (in 3 months) we might stop and do something else that might make us a profit.

AMD has invested over a BILLION dollars in it's K6 gamble.They bought Nexgen, they have thousands of employees, 2 megafabs coming on line.The rest of their business sucks, so they cannot simply move capacity from one product line to another.

Even if they wanted to STOP they could not. So with all their fixed costs they will ramp up the volume. I am confident that they can manufacture 4-5M pcs.

This frankly is BAD news to all the x86 suppliers including Intel.
