David-and all: I've had similar frustrations with Discover via internet, though they're as good as anybody. Watch "processing" for 9 minutes while your limit order is no longer in the money. FWIW, I never place market orders, even live with a broker, unless its for a stodgy blue chip on a slow day with nil for spread. For an extra $5 an order I've probably saved thousands. The other reality is that we little guys are at a huge disadvantage when it comes to volatile days. Don't know if you were trading during the last crash and subsequent recovery, but a lot of us shorts and longs got creamed while our orders sat and the market went crazy both ways. I watched thousands evaporate on trades I was waiting to order, computer on and phone in hand and neither worked. I always consider these types of situations "tuition". Ithink I've got my PhD in trading by now.

Best Wishes,

Timoteo
