I spoke with a manager at Harbor Oil Company in Portland, Oregon, today. He said they process about 9 million gallons of waste-oil per year, re-refining it into industrial fuel for pulp and paper mills. He thought that Harbor Oil was capturing about one third of the total waste-oil in Oregon. They pick up oil state-wide, and given the price of oil, margins were thin.

He hadn't heard of GRNO, but did know of a similar company called Interline.

Converting waste-oil into industrial fuel doesn't advance the environmental agenda very far, IMO. There's plenty of need and opportunity out there for GRNO, but why oh why is it so hard to make it happen....
