I started thinking and when the steam cleared I was left with the following: discussion of the impending AQ has been beat to death. Really, is there any possible way Inprise management could have ignored it? Look, if I'm company X and I can get N shares of INPR having been absorbed for a ratio of Q, why would I want to ask for Q + P when I know darn well I'm going to end up back at Q anyway? The other possibility is that the AQ will be immediately accretive, BINGO! I just can't imagine them not handling this AQ, if and when it comes, an order of magnitude better than the last one. Finally, if getting acquired is *all that* then why doesn't INPR get itself acquired!
