Maybe someone can explain to me why this could be a problem. I know that MB provides the capability to direct orders to SOES, Selectnet, ARCA, and ISLD without additional charges.

As a trader through MB or Cybertrader, you are essentially an independent market maker, with the ability to post a Bid and get hit as opposed to always paying the Ask or worse, the Ask + an uptick or two. This is the big difference. The other major difference is that Web Street Securities is selling your order flow -- they aren't exactly helping you, the investor. I have never had a good feeling about such a situation, but I don't know enough about the problems to tell you why. The person to ask is the new BMOC, Steve Goldman @ Yamner.
