To All AMAT fans...

I'm new blood around here, but I have some news that may be of interest to those bulls out there. I have a good friend that is a broker for Edward Jones, and he had the following to say about AMAT:

After sitting down with the directors of Applied Materials, Edward Jones added them to their strong buy list. Jones doesn't publicly set price targets, but I was given an insight of around $40 by the end of this year. Applied Materials predicted strong growth, so I don't know what is causing the downgrades.

If you don't know it, Edward Jones is a very conservative brokerage, so I feel very good about the information that he gave me. Personally, I have been short term trading the stock for the past few weeks. I feel that the price decrease today after the open was simply profit taking by those that bought in around the $28 range. I think that you will see a rise to the mid $30's before earnings, and then as always, the results will dictate the direction from there.

It feels good to be on board.
