If Intel controls pricing, they're doing a crummy job.
Using your theory it was Intel that created the sub-0 phenomena not Compaq/Cyrix/Amd. And I have to assume you believe Intel had always planned to ramp ASP's and margins down this steep learning curve. And that they planned flat Y/Y revenue growth with declining earnings, even while unit volume is increasing.
Well, I think Intel is losing control of pricing. And the guy's gaining control are the major box makers, using the clone makers as the lever. And that's why I remain convinced the big guys will make sure AMD is a survivor.
