CANADIAN CRUDE SEPARATORS ANNOUNCES NEW OILFIELD LANDFILL IN FOX

Canadian Crude Separators Inc. (CCS) announced today the start of
construction on its newest Class II Oilfield landfill near Fox Creek,
Alberta. This landfill will provide a much needed service to the large number
of oilfield companies located in the Fox Creek and surrounding areas who are
looking for economical non-dangerous, solid oilfield waste disposal. The
landfill will be located approximately 9 km east of Fox Creek on Highway 43.
CCS currently operates a Class II Oilfield Landfill in Mitsue, AB, near Slave
Lake.
All of the necessary approvals, including the Alberta Energy and Utilities
Board approval, have been received and construction is expected to start
immediately. The company has committed to spend $1,500,000 this summer to
develop the site and install infrastructure to begin Phase I operations this
fall. Phase I will provide capacity for 300,000 tonnes of waste disposal,
with planned future phases able to provide capacity for up to 1,000,000
tonnes of waste disposal. CCS has additional land at this site for more
phases, if markets warrant expansion beyond these volumes.
CCS is committed to provide safe, reliable, and cost-effective disposal of
processed oilfield waste solids and contaminated soils. The landfills are
engineered to meet or exceed all requirements outlined for Class II oilfield
landfills. Coupled with comprehensive operating policies and procedures, CCS
can safely provide environmentally responsible solutions, thus minimizing the
potential future liability of the waste generator.

In operation since 1984, CCS has grown to include 11 oilfield waste
processing, custom treating, and disposal facilities throughout Western
Canada. CCS also operates 20 service rigs under the name of Concord.
