National Record Mart Reports 14th Consecutive Increase in Total Sales and Same-Store Sales for Fiscal June
PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 9, 1998--National Record Mart, Inc. (NASDAQ: NRMI - news), today reported that its total sales for the four-week period ended June 27, 1998, increased 15.7 percent to $8.0 million from $7.0 million in fiscal June 1997 -- the 14th consecutive increase in the monthly sales results for stores that have been in operation for more than a year as of June 27, 1998. Comparable store sales rose 7 percent for fiscal June to $7.3 million in 1998 from $6.8 million in fiscal June 1997.

National Record Mart, the nation's sixth largest retailer of pre-recorded music, operates 156 stores in 27 states throughout the United States.
