What is astonishing to me: These internet related stocks
trade based on some sort of amazing exponential growth
path (plus plain old hype, with maybe with a dash of short
covering at times on the really up days)...but it has to
be the easiest business in the world to duplicate. I mean
who hasn't changed their opening home page in their browser
or switched ISP's a few times--or, at the least, changed
browsers and ended up with a new home portal anyway.

So I guess the internet stocks which look savvy to me are
the ones that nobody knows about--if you've snooped around
and taken a gander at my portfolio for instance you will
see one (internet company) of which you have probably never
heard. I don't own it simply because of their award-winning
web tools, or the fact that they may soon sell off the value
locked up in their XML code--but maybe those reasons would be
enough to own it. Certainly a company like SoftQuad is
in the right business, but like so many of the others just
hasn't learned to make money in it yet. Thankfully they have
some other products to bring in some income for the second half
of this year while everything shakes out. That's my guess anyway!
I certainly wouldn't go so far as to say others should buy this
one, the risk level suits me, but may not suit you.

{In future any posts on this thread by me will be limited to the
internet group in general, but I saw no reason not to, just this
once, advertise my pick;-) }
