If hydroelectric plants used electricity at source of power generation to process hydrogen, what would be the energy gain, compared to the loss of energy by transmission over vast distances? I have no idea of the answer, but only want to consider the advantages of using FC power at, or near, point of use. Another question would be; What is the estimated cost due to power disruptions of down lines, storms, overuse, etc.? The object of these questions is to weigh the plus side for future growth of ALL PC manufacturers.
