That is why Compaq hasn't sold 120 Mhz MediaGX machines in over a year.

Everybody - Cyrix, AMD, Intel - keeps raising CPU speeds. The KEY POINT is that if it is done properly, it costs (Intel) very little to INCREASE all CPU speeds - since their cost reductions via new process introductions and shrinking geometries - is a BONUS of the advanced technology.

And Intel's process capability - and rate of change - exceeds it's competition.

When the smoke clears, the good companies will be left standing and the not so good ones will be....
