look for some news at Semicon West. I would not be surprised to see AMAT enter the litho biz through the back door with a purchase of the SVGL unit of SVGI. There have been rumors for years, but they have reached a deafening roar this year. SVGI is cheap and is not currently gaining widespread acceptance. AMAT, with it's technological leadership and wide geographical base of installed customers, could change this very quickly. Litho tools represent ~35% of all semi capex spending and currently AMAT is not a participant. Look for this to change.
