Re: strong dollars impact on demand for oil. While I don't know for sure, it would make sense to me that it could have a definite effect.

Whether it be crude or gold, when dollars are dear in foreign currency terms, and it takes more rupia (sp), yen, lira, or whatever, to buy dollars to pay for a commodity traded internationally in dollars, its got to have an effect, don't you think? Assuming it does, the sooner Japan launches it Resolution Trust or equivalent, the better.
