Why would you need to carry 120 plus channels simultaneously
on an ADSL line??? In an ADSL setup, all you need is enough
for one movie ("channel") at a time, and 6 Mbps is plenty.
That's why it's being targeted for VOD applications (amongst
other things). If you want a movie, you select it and the telco
will send you your selected movie via your 6 Mbps downlink.
Instead of having 120 "channels" to select from, you can in
theory have thousands of movies/programs ("channels") to choose
from.

Tim.
