David, A techie once explained to me that the current limitation of ethernet applications is that the signal loses integrity if the cable carrying it is too long. 30 to 40 feet I think he said. Ethernet has nothing to do with the larger infrastructure concerns addressed by AINN's SS7 products. It's mainly used for local stuff to speed up communication within a network between offices in a building or possibly from building to building. I think. Doug R
