Jeff,
The ASP for the K6 complex should rise for several reasons.
1. No more .35 K6's to dump in the $50-$60 range.
2. Going from 3.5 to 1 mix K6 to K6-2 to 3.5 to 4 to 1 K6-2 to K6.
K6-2 sell for higher ASPs than K6s. The average K6-2 should sell for around $100 in Qtr three. You are right. Prices will drop but the mix changes.
3. Kumar says the average cost of a K6 is about $50. My caluculations suggest it's approx $35 on .25u. At any rate it's better to make $50 to $65 a chip than losing money on .35u.

You seem like an intelligent guy. At least you attempt to address the issues rather than poping in like the other Intellabees to gloat that AMD lost money.

Jim
