Hi Troops. First as to AR selling out , this is just an observation and opinion. He will not do this until he thinks he gets the $$ he should, nor will he get that offer until the revenues indicate the value of the product. Revenues , not profits. The reason I feel this is from a long conversation I had with him some time ago . He is more of a software engineer than a CEO and would ,I think, prefer that roll with a big company. He doesn't like being a CEO as anyone who has listened to his reports knows, That is not his strength nor interest.
Also a decent sale fixes him for life.
As to a couple hundred shares moving the price 1/2 a point or more, that is the problem with no sponsorship by any brokerage firms. There is no active market.A double edged knife. A big seller or buyer is going to move the stock big time, and the market makers have a good time with the spreads. As you say it is foolish to sell here, but there are reasons to sell other than you are not happy with the stock and we just have to live with that, so 1/2 point moves on no volume will be common. It seems to me that we are in a range of 6 1/2- 7 1/2 with the strength leaning to the upper side of that range. Under 7 is a steal for traders, and anywhere in this range is a good buy for investors. Pretty hard to believe that this stock will not be in the 9-10 range at a minimum by the end of the year. That comes out to a 40-80 percent annual return which ain't too shabby. This stock is a joke at this price by any evaluation except PE and that is not a good evaluator for companies in this position. As I have said before, doing what they are doing without GOING IN THE HOLE BIGTIME says a lot for the company.
