Another one, - if the teeth of a fish lacerate you, pluck out one of its eyes and rub it on the bleeding spot. There is something in it that coagulates the blood. The Cape fishermen off the West Coast of South Africa have been using it with the Snoek (Thyrsites atun) for many years. This is a cold water, fierce shoaling game fish with a formidably armed set of jaws and looks similar to the wahoo.
