One can achieve 7-10 percent return per trade per options cycle on stocks like GE. I often position trade such stocks by selling options.

Last should be fine. Heck, he trades crummy stocks like VVUS and still makes money! GE will go up with the DOW and the DOW is not going to fall apart overnight. Market is making a rounding top ... an umbrella ... we may be heading for the apex.
