Raymond,
My name is Bob and Steve has been kind enough to let me use his id to speak with some people on this site. I have been observing conversations between you and several people. First, I'd like to comment on the personal attacks that the Christians have been making. I understand their intentions are good and their knowledge base impressive (as yours is also) but I think these personal attacks are completely wrong and are not condoned by our loving God. There is nothing wrong with trying to illimunate people to the truth, but there is no reason to do that in an attacking way.
It is obvious that you are well versed in the Qu'ran and the Bible. You have been arguing with Christians about both books, both sides have "proof" that the other book is wrong. I'm not impressed. Both sides have been voicing opinions without addressing the other sides issues and questions. I do not want to get into discussions about the "errors" in the Qu'ran or the Bible, both sides can produce enough evidence to the "errors" of the other. I personally do not believe there are any errors in the Bible, and I am not willing to discuss your beliefs that there are errors in the Bible. Such conversations have proven to be fruitless. Any topic in the world can be refuted if you go to enough valid or invalid resources to substantiate your point. I do want to get down to basic theology.
We've all lived enough years to recognize the fact that we are sinners and cannot justify ourselves before a perfectly holy God. If you could earn the privilege to live eternally with God, that would imply that God is indebt to you. Basic logic and an examination of our own hearts should reveal to us that there is no possible way God would be indebted to us to give us salvation as our wages. So, the basic question remains, How are you reconciled to God?
