Oh ya, she'll get there in no time with the help of a dow jones crash.
You see first of all, Speculation for real estate is gone because the speculator lost a sea of money in stocks & real estate. These guys got a double whammy from the asian currency crisis, without the speculator playing the game, the price of real estate will have a tough time going back up. Hong Kong is all REAL ESTATE, so any signs of a further drop in real estate prices can be devastating to the economy. We can see default in bank loans, 80% of small business will shut down, unemployment rate climbing to 20%, and possibly riot on the street. A Dow Jones crash is inevitable, and the impact of this crash can trigger an astronomical down fall for asia. I already pulled out 90% of my long term equity holdings, my trader's instinct tells me to place all my chips on black as in "Black Monday".
