Mike, Havey, and Philip who posted it too, so HA, HA, HA to Ericsson!! And I just have to say I told you so. Here's a clip from the bottom of a post from me earlier in November!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------
New sales of GSM systems will be almost finished in two or three years. Even if they give them away, nobody will want GSM as the site, frequency, other costs and customer requirements will be too important. In FACT, I BET ERICSSON IS RIGHT NOW NEGOTIATING OR CONSIDERING AN IS-95 LICENCE SO THEY DON'T GET SHUT OUT!! They have already bought one for Orbitel to supply Globalstar customers.

So pride has a price.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Who would just love to have been a fly on the wall during THOSE licence negotiations? Now the question is, just how big a price did Ericzzon's pride have?

I think that Irwin and co must have been rubbing their hands with glee! The CDMA Mafia king brings the GSM Nazis to their knees!!

I reckon that licence will have cost Ericsson enough to put Qualcomm's profits way up. What exquisite pleasure. What exquisite pain.

HA, HA, HA!! to Ericsson!!

Maurice.
