I'm with you Ed, even though I'm keeping my subscription and I do not own any CPPKY. I've bitched and moaned about JD's handling of both Singer and CPPKY in the past (#1177, 1192, among others), but when I look at my portfolio day-to-day, JD's picks constitute the most conservative - yet the most reliable - picks. The returns aren't sky high, but they're the ones in my portfolio that I'm sleeping on comfortably at night.
I was about to not renew my subscription a month ago, but decided against it. It's a small price to pay for the returns I've made on his picks - I've paid for a lifetime of subscriptions on my CWP returns alone. Look at the other winners: CCI, CCR, SEIC, SFA, ERICY, BFT, T. JD may not be flashy, and he does piss me off quite often, but for the buy-and-hold portion of my portfolio, he's got my vote. |
