Thomas, if you were to focus on the feelings of the animals you eat, you might become a vegetarian. Even if you didn't, you might become generally more sensitive to feelings. Would that drive you insane? I think if might make you wise and enlightened, instead. Along the way, you might do some reading, and discover the huge percentage of pollution that is caused by the meat industry, and also that if we fed everyone grain, they would be healthier and live longer, and the earth could sustain its population better.
