I started following Geac just before the D&B acquisition when a relative of mine said to buy in at $18 (pre-split), but I never bought in at those low prices. I did some portfolio shuffling today and finally bought in today much higher at $40.55. I don't know if this was a wise decision (I could be buying CGI Group or ATI Technologies instead), but I couldn't resist at what I think is a discounted price.

Whether Geac returns to its high or not probably depends on whether they can make another large acquisition. Perhaps there's nothing attractive to acquire right now? I remember a couple of years ago, Caldwell Partners did a financing to raise cash for an acquisition, but it never happened because there was nothing attractive to buy. I think they've been holding onto that cash all this time, earning 4% or whatever compared to their historical 20% return.
