"18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God." 2 Cor.5:18-20 Bob, excellent post. You make an undeniable truth:
"We've all lived enough years to recognize the fact that we are sinners and cannot justify ourselves before a perfectly holy God. If you could earn the privilege to live eternally with God, that would imply that God is indebt to you. Basic logic and an examination of our own hearts should reveal to us that there is no possible way God would be indebted to us to give us salvation as our wages. So, the basic question remains, How are you reconciled to God?"
