I can't rehash everything because he had two full write-ups. Email me privately and I'll give you his phone no. for a sample issue or perhaps he can fax you his analysis. Basically, he feels the seed industry is fragmented and ripe for consolidation. ABTX is on an acquisition binge, and revenues are going to grow explosively. They also have some executives with the right background in agribusiness and financing to pull this off. The risk is that they may become overextended by taking on too much debt, and I would guess there is also a commodity risk if prices fall. Karl Drobnic of Venture Returns newsletter also made a recommendation, so I am pretty comfortable there is a reasonable risk/reward on this one (famous last words...). The volume for ALL small cap stocks is unusually heavy due to EOY tax loss selling, profit taking, and bottom fishing. This "churning" doesn't seem to always affect the prices, tho in some cases thinly traded stocks have gone into a free fall.
