Yes. My experience tracks with yours. In fact, I have found that the only stocks that have not done well for me are those at PEs of less than 40. This does not mean it makes sense to rush to Yahoo, and it also requires a ruthless willingness to get out when fundamentals change or management goofs (viz. Ascend, 3 Com) but Tellabs is an excellent example of a fine company that sells at relatively high PEs for a reason - cutting edge technologies in areas of exploding growth trend, proven track record, right place at right time, and seasoned capable management. Wish there were more :-) Very rewarding over past several years. Those who refused to get on board because the PE was "too high" during all that time have lost out big time. Perhaps a lesson here, and again perhaps not. :-) All IMO only of course. Chaz
