Stuart...gave a quick look at NVLS just now...
AS far as a fundamental looking backward basis the company looks fine regarding Cash flow from operations, Dilution (or the opposite) which was completed this Q, and growth of somewhere between 20 ands 40%....As long as the industry is fince, this stock should be and given its present 9+ instant PE...It would be very hard to say this one is overvalued by any stretch of the imagination..
The market cap is ~$985 MM at $60...Not terribly high at all...
This one should do well....
However, the way i've been doing things lately, i don't get involved in a company unless they have a nice earnings surprise (Hutchinson... which by the way has a very solid Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows, and Statement of operations...otherwise it would have never apperared on my radar screen but if they come in at $1.70 then that's great)
Or unless they are growing 50% or greater and i have the confidence that this can continue...
But they also have to have a PE that is reasonable to their growth rate...DELL, ETEC, FIBR, PCMS, SANM (and still holding TLTK) all fit into these catagories very well indeed...
PCMS, DELL, and ETEC are up 47%, 17%, and 29% in the past month or so from the prices i got in at...the others are kind of down about 5% or so...can't win all the time right from the get go...but SANM and FIBR will get above my entry point shortly...
The idea is to have 6 stocks in a (my) portfolio that can rise a total of 100% in a year is much better than 3...i've learned the hard way about spreading the risk out with TLTK and LANPF...Hopefully doing this exercise Q after Q i can add to the number that rise 50% + over 12 months....It took 10 months for me to finally figure all this out...
Taking Finance and Accounting have been invaluable...I would highly recommend anyone to take these two introductory classes at alocal commuity college or wherever...can't wait to finish my MPA @ Indiana in the Spring and get back down to College Station and come to A&M (MBA) in the Fall...ON and up and i hope this helps... |
