Jerry,
With S3's technology maybe they don't need the extra MB.
What S3 needs to do is educate customers on there technology.
If Joe consumer is in Best Buy and see's S3 with 8MB and
a competitors product at the same price with 16MB or higher
he/she will go with the competitors product.

I was in a meeting yesterday at a OEM and for the first time in
8 months S3's name was mentioned as a potential vendor for
apps in 99. It is a step in the right direction.
