Jean-St, It might not be as "grim" as painted. An article in the Wall St Journal mentioned that consumers might be waiting for MMX and giving "IOUs" for a new computer for Christmas. Markets move in anticipation...perhaps anticipating increased sales due to the MMX. By the way, the article also mentioned that there will be a Windows95 update sold as installed software on new machines only...it won't be available for "upgrading". I suspect that it WILL be available for upgrade after the initial hoopla dies down.
